Team Generates Wins Despite Loss of Roy
The Minnesota Rink Rats are without speedy young winger Derek Roy for the next 9 games but they're still finding ways to put the puck in the net. Roy, who has 28 points in 33 games, was injured late in the Rink Rats game against the Maniax earlier in the week.
Despite the loss of one of their top offensive players, the Rink Rats are still managing some wins. They've pulled off wins against the Bulls & Fighting Irish putting up some goals in the process. Head Coach Barry Melrose said he continues to feel optimism about the team's ability to put up wins and attributed a huge reason for their recent success to goalie Ryan Miller.
