Minnesota News - Burns Gone; Rumors on Miller

Minneapolis, MN - A lot has happened in Minnesota since the end of last season including the trades of stars Mike Cammalleri and Brent Burns. While the Cammalleri deal sent a couple of players that will help Minnesota this season, the Burns deal has created a big hole on defense for this year's club. Minnesota has been looking at adding a less expensive option at defense to help the club this season. The team has also received a few inquiries about the status of goaltender Ryan Miller after a report out of Las Vegas suggested the goaltender may be moved this season.

Rink Rats GM said that while no player is unobtainable, it would take a nice package to move Miller out of Minnesota. "Ryan is an outstanding talent - one of the best in the world. In order to move him we'd need an offer that absolutely blew us away. It could happen and we've spoken to teams the past few days but we're very happy keeping him here in Minnesota too."

Minnesota has also received inquiries on and has been shopping Andy McDonald and Jamie Langenbrunner. If either player moves its to get younger, and/or move up in the draft. Both players have the ability to help a team this season. One thing is for sure, it's likely going to be a busy couple of weeks for Minnesota.
