Rats Shakeup Roster

Minneapolis, MN – Rink Rats GM called for a shakeup of his roster this morning after a 7-4 loss at home last night against the Las Vegas Bulls. The Rink Rats have been struggling as of late with some of the better players on the squad battling the flu and minor injuries. The hope is that the shakeup will allow these players to surge and develop a better chemistry and upbeat feeling in the club’s locker room. Derek Roy, Jason Blake, Mike Cammalleri and Matthew Lombardi should all benefit from the shakeup while John-Michael Liles and Paul Ranger are the only two players that will most likely not with their current plus streaks.

“Hopefully this will help our club out a bit,” stated GM Rink Rat. “We’ve been struggling this season and to stay at .500 is just not acceptable. The Bulls are a good club and I saw some positive things the past couple of days against them, but the fact is we’re better than what we’ve shown thus far. I think Dan (Bylsma) has found some good line combinations and we’re all very excited about the progress of David Krejci and what Ryan Miller has done thus far. We’re hopefully that this will help push Roy, Blake and Cammalleri specifically over the edge and we can start getting some more wins.”

The Rink Rats will travel to take on the Sparrows in their upcoming game. They are 1-1 against the Sparrows this season, both games being very exciting matchups so it should be a good one!
